The image is from Masson after Bataille. It was posted tentatively, as tentatively as one posts a rendering of a headless man, and begs further inquiry where the recent 'A commune with a leader?' post was my inspiration. Bataille's notion of sacrifice - of which Acephale is his most singular figuration - might upset a Marxist-socialist pragmatics, but is simply fascinating, maddening, passionate.
